Sedation Dentistry in Clearwater, FL
When having a procedure at Sunset Point Dental, our dental staff will make you as comfortable as possible while you’re here. To help patients cope with anxiety while doing fillings, crowns, veneers, implant placement, extractions, or any other dental treatment, our dentist will use sedation dentistry if requested by the patient.
This type of sedation dentistry in Clearwater, FL involves using an oral medication that makes you relaxed, free from anxiety, and comfortable during a dental procedure. Our dentist may prescribe a medication for you to take before arriving at Sunset Point Dental, or you may receive it as you check-in for the appointment. Please arrange transport to and from the office as oral sedation will impede you from driving safely.
Unfortunately, we do not offer nitrous or IV sedation in this office. For any patient who’s dental anxiety supersedes oral medication, we will refer them to a specialty office.
Any procedures using oral sedation will require a second individual to drive the patient to the appointment and pick them up afterwards, as the patients ability to drive will be impaired.
